With CDS, individuals have the freedom to choose who cares for them. They can hire you, a trusted loved one, instead of feeling uncomfortable receiving care from a stranger. Your family member can enjoy the comfort of being at home instead of in a nursing facility.

Who Qualifies to Become a Paid Caregiver:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must reside in Missouri
- Must pass a Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) screening and background check
- Must NOT be the person’s spouse or legal guardian
**Eligible caregivers include: sons, daughters, other family members, friends, or someone who is already helping with care
